Thankfully many contemporary office chairs are “height adjustable”.* Your lower body and legs – Is the seat soft to sit upon? Is there sufficient room for your legs to stretch out?* Wheels – If you’re going to do a lot of moving around, it may be convenient for you to have a swivel chair. If you spend most of your time stationary, then you may benefit from having a large, sturdy chair. If you can afford it, you may even want to invest in a reclining office chair.* Level of relaxation – If your chair is perfect for your needs and comfortable to sit in, you will be less likely to become irritable during the working day. * Color – Of course color isn’t as important as comfort, but it’s still a good idea to choose an office chair that will go well with other office furniture. If your office is sophisticated and classy, you may feel more inspired to work.Obviously, contemporary ergonomic chairs are scientifically created with human comfort levels and convenience in mind. Old fashioned office chairs were made long before computers became an important part of office work, so they weren’t designed to sit in while facing a computer.Since more and more people work in offices these days, there is huge demand for office furniture all over the world and because of this, it has become very easy to purchase. Many manufacturers today take into consideration their clients specific requirements and are accommodating when it comes to choice. Scott was so excited when the Hawaii Chair arrived in the office, we set about recording a really funny video for you… but then the chair went a bit NUTS and started buzzing itself all over the office, and then it died. (We were going to do clever things with these clips in the edit, to sort out the sound quality – but then the chair broke and we had to call off the video shoot. Sorry about that!)

office chair question by okei: How to fix a wheel that has come off an office chair?
The vertical metal shaft on which the wheel rolls is held in place in the spokes at the base of the chair by its plastic surroundings into which it nicely slots it. But this plastic has become broken, so it slots in but does not stay there if the chair is moved about, but comes undone again. Any ideas for how to secure it?
I tried sellotape round the wheel and spoke and this kind-of works (for a while at least, though the wheel doesn’t roll and it eventually comes undone anyway).

I would try JB weld it is an apoxy adhesive sold over the counter, you can get it at most stores. You mix part a and b together (get the putty for, same consistancy as playdoh) once it is mixed and you use it, it will harden. It claims to be as hard as steel, its some pretty strong stuff, I put things back together with it when nothing else worked.
